I Have Homelite weed eater. The plastic gas tank is leaking now. Can I buy new fuel tank for it and how much is it.
The seial number for this trimmer is:
HT 1901519(?) and other number is UT 151 42R hope these two number can be helpful to find the right gas tank for my trimmer.

since the homelite is basic unit, with a low cost at times, it may not be of interest to buy a new tank. a good used one is in most cases available. i may have one here if i have a model no. ,etc. but try this. empty your tank. remove it from unit. wash out. take a normal soldering iron, (weller)etc. the kit has a tool tip in there to melt plastic back together say at seams ,etc. with little work you can get it to stop leaking. test it out before remounting it. how did you make out with this?
