-----Question-----
I have a Craftsman riding mower (tractor) muncher that has one of those clutchless fast, slow, forward and reverse transmission, only need to push in clutch when you first crank it.  It must be in neutral, you must be sitting on the seat and blade is not to be engaged for it to start up.

It has worked great cranks fast if choked for a second.

The last thing I did last week was lean down WHILE it was running forward to grab a limb, my butt came up off the seat which automatically shut down the engine while it was still rolling.  Since then it has not ever tried to fire up like no spark.  I noticed that it is locked up in gear, I am ASSUMING that a safety neutral switch will not let it start.  I have tried to rock it out of gear, but to no avail.  H E L P

I don't have money to pay Sears to send someone over to flip a switch or something simple.

God bless you

check  under seat  to see if you bent the shut off switch together.  if you did, take a pliers and bend them back apart. as far as i know of these it must  start to  take out of gear, and there should be a free wheel valve to  push around...   normally between seat and dash under a plug,  or under the back side. it sounds like to me the switch under the seat is your problem.

Answer
i believe you main  trouble is that seat switch.  look i do not like telling you to do this for safety reasons..... but  look  unhook those wires from that switch. DO NOT !! put together, just tape them  each up, place away from hinge from getting pinched, that should get up running. but as you now know,  if you leave seat it will keep running, and you will be able to start  it up  off seat, so this is not underwriter safety standards. keep kids away from keys, and be careful your self.
