Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): lawn mower, briggs and stratton, snapper mower

Question
Thanks John. Cleaned carb again and now its starts. Only runs full and half throttle. If I put it in low throttle it will stall. Should I adjust air mixture more than 1 1/2 turns out. But like I said it runs.

 Hello Brian:

What Follows is Direction for a High and Low Carburetor Setting. Your Carburetor has Only the Low Setting. Yhe High Air Mixture is Preset(Drilled Actually) and has No Sst Screw. If it Will Not Start and Run with the Throttle Set to Full, then the Main Jet is Still Clogged. You Set the Idle Air Mixture as Stated Below. Ignore the Process for the High Setting. *For a Carburetor to Really be Cleaned Good, it has to be Soaked Overnight in Carburetor Cleaner and then Blow Out the Passages with Compressed Air. Spray Carburetor Cleaners Only Loosen the Varnish. If the Carburetor was Soaked Overnight in Carburetor Cleaning Solution and the Passages Blown Out with Compressed Air, then we can Set the Air Mixture Screws. Turn Both Air Mixture Screws In Until Seated. **DO NOT JAM  SNUG ONLY** Turn Both Screws Out 1 1/2 Turns. Set the Throttle to Full Open and Start the Engine. Override the Throttle by Pushing the Governor Arm by Hand and Turn the High Air Mixture Screw(bottom of the bowl) In Until the Engine is Revving Properly. Now Slow Engine to Idle. Set the Low Air Mixture Screw so there is No Hesitation when Throttling from Idle to Full Throttle. Now Set the Idle if Required.* Hope this Helps. I am here if you Require more Assistance. Let me know what Happens, Please. Thanks.

 Good Luck

 Respectfully

 John

Answer
 Hello Brian:

Yes, Turn the Low Air Mixture Screw Out 1/4 Turn to 1/2 Turn. This Should Correct the Idle Problem. Hope this Helps. I am here if you Require more Assistance. Let me know what Happens, Please. Thanks.
