Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Replacing clutch, crank shaft, replacing clutch

Question
Engine: 9 hp Briggs & Stratton
Model 28b702
Type 1154-E1
Code 990621ZD
I need to replace the clutch on this engine, it is a manual crank engine. When I try to loosen it the crank shaft turns. I don't have any manuals and would like to know the proper way to remove it.

Thanks, any information would be greatly appreciated.

Answer
 Hello Charles:

The Bolt Loosens by Turning the Same Direction as the Engine Rotation. Air Impact Tools are Best to Remove this Bolt. However, you can Remove the Blower Housing and Block the Flywheel from Turning if you are Using Non-Air Tools. I have a Flywheel Tool that Holds the Flywheel. Send me the Make and Model of the Equipment tis Engine is Mounted On, Please. With these, I can Locate a Breakdown/IPL of the Equipment and Better Assist you. Hope this Helps. I am here if you Require more Assistance. Let me know what Happens, Please. Thanks.

 Good Luck

 Respectfully

 John
