Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): rototiller engine, briggs and stratton, folder number

Question
I have a friend whose tiller has "died/locked up" due to lack of oil.  She is still kicking herself.  She loves the tiller and it is from her dad (who doesn't know about the engine).  Is there a way to fix it somewhat inexpensively or find an engine to replace it?  It appears to be a 12.5 cu in, 5hp briggs and stratton at 3600rpm, easy spin starting chain drive, on a Garden King 5 rototiller.  Although it is old, she takes great care of everything she has and this one stupid moment has her greatly frustrated.  Any ideas?

Answer
 Hello Marlys:

You can Get a Short Block or a Whole Engine to Replace the Old One. There is No Easy Fix if the Engine Locked Up from Lack of Oil. Sorry. Got to this Addy http://www.outdoordistributors.com/ and Click on the B.
Then Select Briggs and Stratton. Then Select Don't have Part Numbers. **The Model Numbers of the Engine are Located Above the Spark Plug, Stamped Into the Blower Housing(metal engine cover). Select the File Number and then Select the Folder number. Send me the Model and Type Numbers and I can Locate the Breakdown for you. Hope this Helps. I am here if you Require more Assistance. Let me know what Happens, Please. Thanks.

 Good Luck

 Respectfully
