QuestionThe generator after started wont idle smooth, after starting it revs up and down, at first I thought it was low of gas or old gas, ran it with new gas and no change. I put a load to it by turning on the TV etc. and everything runs with no problems but the generator still oscillates.
I noticed there is a solenoid/choke with a bimetal/heater that makes a rod to the choke move, if I hold it up at a certain point high enough it makes the generator stop oscillating. Would that selenoid be bad? or a governor be bad? Thank you in advance.

Usually this Problem is Caused by a Dirty Carburetor. However, Send me the Make, Model, Type and Code Numbers Off of the Engine, Please.
