Hi John,

Did you remember me? My name is David, last month, I asked
you about my lawn motor with the broken rubber primer. Now it works great.
Today my TORO S 140 snowthower doesn't want to start. The engine is 2 cycle(very tiny engine)with fuel:oil ratio 32:1. I have already fill the fuel. I dont know the real model but when I pull off the cover I get the model 38100 and serial 1019810 in side the cover. In the top of engine has 4 instrument, first is choke, second primer rubber, third key start and and the last pull wire. I've already try more than ten times, but it still doesnt work. Would you please help me, what should I do next?
Thank you,

David
-----Answer-----
 Hello Again David:

Spray a Small Amount of Fuel Into the Carburetor Throat and Try to Start the Engine. Does it Start and Quit. If Yes, then Clean and Rebuild the Carburetor. If No, Then Check the Plug for Spark. Also, this being a 2-cycle Remove the Muffler and Check the Exhaust for Blockage. Check the Muffler and Spark Arrestor Screen (inside the muffler) for Blockage. You can View a Breakdown/IPL of this Unit at this Addy https://lookup2.toro.com/partdex/index.cfm?xCaller=Toro and Enter the Model Numbers 38100 and Click Search. Then Locate your Model in the Search Results and Click on the View Assembly Drawings. Most Times the Carburetor is the Cause of Not Starting. If the Plug is Firing and there is Compression, then the Carburetor is the Most Likely Cause. Hope this Helps. I am here if you Require more Assistance. Let me know what Happens, Please. Thanks.

 Good Luck

Hi John,
Today I empty the fuel and change a new one, spray the carburator with gasoline, clean all the carburator, and clean the plug, clean the muffer. Is the spark arrestor screen like a metal with 4-6 holes? If is right, I already clean that too? But the engine does not start. Maybe I need to change the spark. Do you think I need to buy and change with carburator kids too. Please let me know, thank you.

Answer
 Hello David:

Check for Spark at the Plug. If No Spark, then Try a New Plug. If Still No Spark, then Remove the Shutoff Wire from the Switch. If Still No Fire, then the Coil.Ignition Module is Bad. If Fire and it Wont Start, then Clean and Rebuild the Carburetor. Soak the Carburetor Overnight in Gunk Carburetor Cleaner and Blow Out the Passages with Compressed Air. Install New Kit. Hope this Helps. I am here if you Require more Assistance. Let me know what Happens, Please. Thanks.

 Good Luck
