 Hello Lorne:

On the Transaxle is an OEM Plate. Send me the OEM(Peerless, Dana, ect.) and the Model Numbers Off of this Plate, Please. With these, I can Locate a Breakdown/IPL of the Transaxle and Better Assist you. Is this a Hydrostatic or Hydromatic Transaxle? Thanks.

 Respectfully

 John

Answer
 Hello Lorne:

Have you Removed the Mower Deck and Checked the Belt Routing? Have you Visually Watched the Linkage At the Transaxle to See the Control Shaft Turn when the Linkage is Moved. You can View a Breakdown of this Transaxle at this Addy http://www.outdoordistributors.com/ and Click H. Then Select Hydro-Gear Parts and Replacement Units. Then Select Don't have Part Numbers. Then Enter the Model Numbers 336-0510. Then Select the Download. Usually the Problem you Described Happens when the Linkage has Slipped or the Transaxle Housing Frame Mount Bolts Come Loose. If all This is Operating Properly, then the Damage is Internal. Then the Transaxle will have to be Disassembled and the Problem Repaired. This needs to be Done by Qualified Personnel Only. Hope this Helps. I am here if you Require more Assistance. Let me know what Happens, Please. Thanks.

 Good Luck
