Question
John,

I got the carburetor cleaned and got a kit to rebuild it, after putting everything back together can you give me an idea where to set the high throttle and low throttle adjustment screws to get me close?

Thanks again for the help,

-----Question-----
I have a John Deere snow blower that hasn't been starting good the last couple of years, once I got it started I had to constantly adjust the carburetor to keep it running, and now won't start at all.  I have good spark and am confident it is a carburetor issue.  It is a small 2 cycle engine, I pulled the carb off and cleaned it and tried to blow it out with air, but can't seem to get air through it.  I am not that familiar with this type of carburetor, should I be able to blow air through it from the main fuel line connection?  I tried compressed air and can't get anything through it.  I have only cleaned it with carb cleaner, I was going to try soaking it overnight in solution but wasn't sure what to soak it in?  Any help is greatly appreciated.

Answer
 Hello Bob:

If the Carburetor was Soaked Overnight in Carburetor Cleaning Solution and the Passages Blown Out with Compressed Air, then we can Set the Air Mixture Screws. Turn Both Air Mixture Screws In Until Seated. **DO NOT JAM  SNUG ONLY** Turn Both Screws Out 1 1/2 Turns. Set the Throttle to Full Open and Start the Engine. Override the Throttle by Pushing the Governor Arm by Hand and Turn the High Air Mixture Screw(bottom of the bowl) In Until the Engine is Revving Properly. Now Slow Engine to Idle. Set the Low Air Mixture Screw so there is No Hesitation when Throttling from Idle to Full Throttle. Now Set the Idle
if Required. Hope this Helps. I am here if you Require more Assistance. Let me know what Happens, Please. Thanks.
