Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Lawnmower blades, edge of the blade, lawnmower blades

Hi John I am trying to change my lawnmower blade and have misplaced my manual. Is this bolt to be loosened clockwise or anti clockwise?

 Hello Simon:

 Some Mowers have a Clockwise Rotation of the Blades and Some have a Counter Clockwise Rotation. The Easiest Way to Remember the Direction to Loosen the Blades is Turn the Bolt or Nut the Same Direction as the Blade Rotates. Turn the Bolt or Nut Towards the Cutting Edge of the Blade.
