Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): unknown MAKE,MODEL,TYPE, vertical shaft, cylender

Question
i am wondering about some engines that i took out of 3 different snow paddle throwers toro john deere & jacobsen  they look like utilimotors but are newer 2 cycle, cylender on one side carb on the other, the carb also looks like it can be mounted two ways allowing for either horazontal or vertical shaft ...id like to know any thing i can find out about them
