Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Manual for old Troy-Bilt Mulcher/Chipper, troy bilt chipper shredder, briggs and stratton

Question
I have just inherited a Try-Bilt Mulcher/Chipper with a 4.5HP Briggs & Stratton with a BIG hole in the crankcase.  I want to replace the engine but would like a manual, or something to help me along.  Gardenway Inc. designed and manufactured Troy-Bilt® chipping & shredding machines, but no-one supports them anymore.

Answer
 Hello David:

Have you Tried Briggs and Stratton? Murray bought the Troy-Bilt Chipper/Shredder and Chipper/Vac Products and they were Sold to Briggs when Murray went Bankrupt. The Engine you can View Online at this Addy http://shop.briggsandstratton.com/BShopProductListingPage.asp?rsvp=0&PARENTID=0&... and Enter the Model Numbers and the Type Numbers and Click Search. Then Scroll to the 2nd Listing and Click on View PDF. This will Download a Breakdown/IPL of the Engine. Hope this Helps. I am here if you Require more Assistance. Let me know what Happens, Please. Thanks.

 Good Luck

 Respectfully

 John
