Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): B&S 18HP lawn tractor engine starting problem, briggs and stratton, electronic modules

I had some problem this summer with the engine not stating after a week of heavy rain. Thought that there may be consendation in magneto. Evenually it started but now it will not start gain. It does not appear to be getting spark. Can you tell me how to troubleshoot and where the electronic modules are located. How do you replace? The engine model# is 422707, type 141201, Code 9503025B. Any help or direction would be appreciated!

 Hello Kevin:

 Disconnect the Coil Shutoff Wire and Check for Spark. If you have Spark after the Cutoff Wire is Disconnected, then a Safety Switch is Causing the Problem. If you Dont have Fire, then the Coil/Ignition Module/Igniter is Bad. You can View a Breakdown/IPL of this Engine at this Addy http://www.outdoordistributors.com/ and Click the B. Then Select Briggs and Stratton. Then Select Dont have Part Numbers. Then Scroll Down to File # 42 and Click. Then Scroll Down to Folder # 422700 and Click. This will Download a Breakdown/IPL of the Engine. If you Require Assistance Locating the Safety Switches; Send me the Make and Model Numbers Off of the Mower, Please.
