Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): B&S 18.5HP low compression, crankcase breather, flywheel

Question
B&S 18.5HP Twin 2,model 42A777. Ran it out of oil and it froze up, so I turned the flywheel with a breaker bar. It turns over but doesn't start. I have spark and gas. Removed muffler and crankcase breather to see valves. When I turn the flywheel the valves move. Before I go any further I'd like your opinion on what's wrong. It also didn't make any noise when I turned it over which I thought it would if the piston was broke. Compression is so low I can turn the flywheel easily.

Answer
 Hello Jeff:

Not Good. From your Description it Sounds like the Rings or the Cylinders May be Gouged or Scratched  from the Lack Of Oil. Look into Another Engine or a Short Block. You can Contact Michelle @ 205-669-2500 for the Cost of the Engine or the Short Block. Hope this Helps. I am here if you Require more Assistance. Thanks.

 Good Luck

 Respectfully
