Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): brigs and stratton eng, brigs and stratton, briggs and stratton

Hi John replace fuel line worked ok but still wont start ive replaced spark plug and fuel line and filter just dosnt want to  fire any ideas my eng is brigs and stratton model no 28r707  type 112oe1 any suggestions will be greatly appreciated tks Sam

 Hello Sam:

 By Not Fire; Do you mean the Plug is Not Firing or the Engine Is Not Attempting to Run? If the Engine Is Not Attempting to Run, then Remove Spark Plug and Check for Fire at the Plug. If there is Fire at the Plug, then Try to Start the Engine with Starter Fluid. If it Starts and Runs, Then the Carburator needs to be Cleaned and Rebuilt. If the Spark Plug is Not Firing, then Disconnect the Coil Shutoff Wire. If you Have No Fire, then the Coil is Bad. If the Plug has Fire, then a Safety Switch is Bad. Check the Seat Safety First. Then the Neutral Safety Switch, then the Blade Safety and Finally the Clutch Safety. You can View a Breakdown of this Engine at this Addy http://www.outdoordistributors.com/ and Click on the B. Then Select Briggs and Stratton. Then Select Dont have Part Numbers. Then Scroll Down to the File Number 28. Then Select then Folder with your Model. Hope this Helps.
