Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Petrol mower recoil starter modification, recoil starter, electric starter

Hi

My mum has a large, newish petrol mower (unfortunately I don't know the make or model) with a recoil starter pull cord.  She is 60yrs old now and 4'10" and can no longer start the mower.  Do you have any suggestions for anything I can buy or make to help her start it?  Or a modification to attach a starter motor/start it with a drill bit maybe?
She isn't prepared to buy a new mower so a mod or tool is the only option.

 On Some Mowers you can Change the Flywheel and Attach an Electric Starter to the Engine. Send me the Make, Model, Type and Code Numbers Off of the Engine, Please. With these I can Locate a Breakdown of the Engine and Better Assist you. Thanks.
