Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Briggs & Stratton, briggs stratton, carburator

Question
I have a Briggs & Stratton Model: 12H802 Type: 0652    Code: 01 96051656

This engine will not stay running for more than two seconds.  I drained the gas tank and checked the line to the carburator.  I also checked the flywheel key.  All is fine.  I did notice however that the choke was wide open even though the engine was cold.  It is an automatic choke, and I was wondering if this can be adjusted or if it will have to be replaced?

Thank you

Answer
 Hello Brian:

Clean and rebuild the Carburator. Remove and Disassemble the Carburator. Soak Overnight in Cleaning Solution(Gunk carburator cleaner). Blow Out All Passages with Compressed Air. Install Kit. You can View a Breakdown of the Carburator at this Addy http://shop.briggsandstratton.com/BShopProductListingPage.asp?rsvp=0&PARENTID=0&... and Enter the Model and Type Numbers. On the Next Page Scroll Down to the 2nd Listing and Click on View PDF. Hope this Helps. I am here if you Require more Assistance. Let me know what Happens, Please. Yhanks.

 Good Luck

 Respectfully
