Answer
 Hello Larry:

If the Vent was Clogged, the Transaxle May have Built Up Pressure and Pushed the Fluid Out of a Seal. Was there Not a Rubber Tube Attached to the Metal Vent Tube? Usually a Rubber Tube is Attached to the Short Metal Vent and the Tube is Directed Under the Fender on the Right Side of the Mower. If No Damage was Done to the Transaxle and it isnt the Pressure Valve Stuck, Causing too Much Pressure, then the Transaxle should be Fine. If the Transaxle Doesnt Work, then the Seals or Orings in the Pump May have Ruptured. The Transaxle should be Replaced. The Fluid Required is Tecumseh Part # 730228A. Hope this Helps. I am here if you Require more Assistance. Let me know what Happens, Please. Thanks.

 Good Luck
