Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Honda gx340k1 engine-EM5000S generator, spark arrester, carburator

Question
I have a Honda gx340k1 engine on a generator (em5000s) that starts and runs perfect at idle.  Once I request it to power up it chokes, sputters, bogs down, and eventually dies.  It has worked flawlessly many times before and this acting up is very sudden.  I cannot think of anything that's changed or that I've done different.  I have cleaned the fuel filters and found a little junk and thought that fixed the problem - to no avail.  The spark plug appears fine.  The spark arrester is fine also.  I took the carburetor apart and cleaned it up too - that still didn't fix it.   I operate it without the air cleaner so that is not the problem either.  What else can you tell me to check?  Thank you in advance.

Answer
 Hello Ed:

When you Checked the Spark Arrestor did you Check the Exhaust Port for Blockage too? If the Exhaust Port is Clear, then the Carburator May still be Dirty. Did you Soak the Carburator Overnight? On Most Generators the Carburator will Gum Up and it takes and Overnight Soak in Cleaning Solution(carburator cleaner) to Clean the Carburator Properly. Blow Out all the Passages with Compressed Air and Install New Kit. Hope this Helps. I am here if you Require more Assistance. Let me know what Happens, Please. I enjoy knowing the Outcome. Thanks.

 Good Luck
