Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Smoaking B&S, crankcase oil, breather tube

Question
I have a 14.5 B&S sov that in blowing white
smoke out of the exhaust. Also is you let it run
for a few minuits oil/gas mixure will blow out
of the crank breather tube? lastly the oil has a gas smell. I know the float is sticking could that be the couse of this?

 Hello Dave:

 You are Right. The Float Sticking is Filling the Crankcase up with Gas. Drain the Crankcase Oil and Allow the Crankcase to Vent for 24 hrs. Install a Cutoff Valve in the Gas Line to the Carburator and Turn the Gas Flow Off after Each Use of the Mower. Clean and Rebuild the Carburator. The Cutoff Valve will Ensure the Crankcase Doesnt Flood with Gas in the Future if the Float Sticks Again. Hope this Helps. I am here if you Require more Assistance. Let me know what Happens, Please.
