Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Air Filter, carburator, electric starter

Question
Toro 20014 w/ electric starter -

I cannot locate the air filter to replace it.  Could you provide the location and instructions how to remove and replace it?  I have lost the owners manual.

In addition, the spark plugs are not lasting very long.  they have a dark residue on them when they are removed after only a few hours usage.  The engine then stalls and will not crank until the spark plug is replacee.

Answer
 Hello Robby:

Go to this Addy http://www.smallenginepartswarehouse.com/parts.asp and Click on Parts Look Up. Then Select the OEM(Toro Consumer)and Enter the Model Numbers 20014. Double Click on the Model of your Mower that Shows in the Search Results Area. This will Open a new Window. Select The Engine Assembly Using the Numbers Off of the Engine and Click on that Engine. You will See a Breakdown of the Engine and be Able to Locate the Filter. A Clogged Filter can Cause the Carburator to Run Rich. This is the Reason for the Black/Dark Residue on the Plugs. If Changing the Air Filter Doesnt Stop the Plugs from Fouling, then the Carburator needs to be Cleaned and Rebuilt. Hope this Helps. I am here to Help if you Requir more Assistance. Let me know what Happens, Please. I enjoy knowing the Outcome. Thanks.

 Good Luck

 Respectfully

 John
