Question
i have a older lawnboy 2 stroke gas push mower it has a comerical engine. it still runs fine but latey it is getting a black soot on the baging area and lower handle any advice. plu gas and oil mix are all newer

Answer
 Hello Ken:

Black Soot. Increase the Oil to Gas Ratio. If anything there should be a Slight BLUE Smoke coming from the Exhaust. The Black Soot is a Sign of Improper Oil to Gas Mix. I All my 2cycle Oil at 32:1. Remember the Engine Get ALL it Lubrication from the Oil in the Gas. Too Much Oil is Better than too Little. Hope this Helps. I am here to Help if you Require more Assistance. Let me know what Happens, Please. I enjoy knowing the Outcome. Thanks.

 Good Luck
