Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Craftsman will not idel properly, starter solenoid, riding lawn mower

Question
Question, Craftsman 15.5 hp riding lawn mower with Kohler engine… when I start the engine, it fires up but no matter how high it’s throttled; it stays lows and dies out… I replaced spark plug, starter, solenoid, gas, disconnected coil and a host of other things suggested and nothing. Any help with this would aid me in having to trade in/buy a new one (going into debt)… Help,

Answer
 Hello Don:

Let s do a Diagnostic Don. 1- Follow the Throttle Control Cable to the Control Bracket. Move the Throttle Cable and see it the Linkage is Moving. Is the Throttle Control Spring Attached to the Governor Control Arm? Send me the Model Numbers Off Of the Mower and the Engine, Please. With these Numbers I can Locate a Breakdown of the Engine and Mower and Better Assist you. Has the Carburator been Cleaned and Rebuilt? Has the Compression been Checked? From your Description it Sounds like the Carburator is Starving for Gas. The Model Numbers will be of Great Help. Hope this Helps. Let me know what Happens, Please. I enjoy knowing the Outcome. Thanks.

 Good Luck

 Respectfully
