Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): engile idles wide open., sectional index, cam gear

Question
Scotts Model 2046H (by John Deere) Date code: 021700 - Product Identification # GX2046S0033852. It has a 20 hp I/C Intek OHV engine. Also on engine. Family: Y - YBSXS.7242HK - 274559. I hope this is all you need to answer my question. I replaced the govenor gear which was broken, and in doing so the cam/gear accidently fell out. I alligned the dots on the cam gear and crank gear together with both pistons up. Is this correct? If the engine was to still idle wide open after I put it back together what else could the problem be, and is there anything I should do as in adjustments or anything at all? Is there anywhere online where I can download or just view a parts/repair manual for what I am doing. I thank you so much for your time and help.
Respectfully,
David Neal

Answer
 Hello David:

You can View a Breakdown of the Mower At this Addy http://jdpc.deere.com/jdpc/servlet/com.deere.u90490.partscatalog.view.servlets.H... and Enter the Model Numbers S2046. Then Click on the Model in the Search Results. Then Choose Sectional Index. From here you can View the Mower and Engine Online. Did you Disconnect the Governor Control Arm from the Governor Shaft? If you did, then you will need to Reset the Governor Arm and Shaft Once the Engine is Reassembled. Hope this Helps. Let me know what Happens, Please. I enjoy knowing the Outcome. Thanks.

 Good Luck

 Respectfully
