Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Mower deck not coming on?, sectional index, mtd

Question
  when mowing, the mower deck was running then quit, then came back on then quit again? it will not come on at all now? I have replaced the Elec PTO button, an still nothing!

 Hello Steven:

 Jumper the PTO Directly from the Battery. Remember to Remove the Spark Plug Before Working Under the Mower. You need Battery Power Not Engine for this Diagnostic. If the Jumper Works the PTO with No Pronlems, then Check the Wiring Harness for a Bad/Burnt Wire to the PTO. If Not, then Replace the PTO. You can View a Breakdown of this Mower at this Addy http://www.partstree.net/parts.asp and Click on Parts Look Up. Then Select the OEM MTD and Enter the Model Numbers 13AR608P731 and Click Search. Click on the Model that Shows in the Search Results. then Select Sectional Index. Hope this Helps. Let me know what Happens, Please. I enjoy knowing the Outcome. Thanks.
