Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Riding & push mower, oil mixture, push mower

Question
My Murry 17.5 automatic ride mower and Craftsman 6.5 push mower were in storage for 3 years (Military). Got them out ran the ride mower for 2 minutes it suddenly stopped with a clang. Yes, I didn't check the oil. I had to drain it before shipping. I ran it without oil. I took the spark plug out of the push mower and oil came pouring out of it. I'm not having any luck here can you help? The Murry is a 1999 -2000 the craftsman is a 1998. Thanks, Mr. Bridges in advance for your assistance. Recommend a repair manual for DIY?

Answer
 Hello Frank:

1- The Oil Running from the Plug hole is not a Worry Most Times. Pour a Small Amount of Gas into the Plug Hole Replace the Plug a Few Turns, then Shake the Engine. Remove the Plug and Dump the Gas/Oil Mixture Out. Leave the Plug Out for 2 or 3 Hours to Vent the Cylinder. Replace the Plug and Check the Oil. Try to Start the Engine Now. 2- Send me the Make, Model, Type and Code Numbers Off of the Engine, Please. With the Numbers I  Can Locate a Breakdown of the Engine that will Assist you. Hope this Helps. Let me know what Happens, Please. Thanks.

 Good Luck

 Respectfully
