Question -
My B/S 4.0HP mower haunts (speeds up, slows down).  It sounds as if it has asthma.

It has a plastic carb mounted on top of the gas tank and uses a diaphram to pump gas
to the carb.  What can I do to stop the haunting?

 Hello Terry:

 Clean and Rebuild the Carburator. Check the Carburator Mounting Surface for True. The Carburator Base May be Warped. Send me the Model, Type and Code Numbers Off of the Engine(metal engine cover), Please. With these I can View a Breakdown of the Engine and Better Assist you. Hope this Helps. On the Next Page you will see 2 Listings. On the Bottom Listing Click View PDF. This will Download the Parts Breakdown for your Engine. Page 4 of 15 is the Carburator Diagram.
