Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Tecumseh 4.5hp(yard works Lawnmower), carburator, code numbers

Question
It seems that the only way that I can keep my lawnmower running is to keep manually pumping the fuel with the primer. I did change the plug and the filter to see if this would fix it, but did not help. The float does seem to stick a little. Any ideas?

Thanks,

Andrew Hawkins

Answer
 Hello Andrew:

From what you have Written, I Suggest you Clean and Rebuild the Carburator. Replace the Primer Bulb too. Gas Forms a Varnish Inside the Carburator Ports and Passages that Restrict the Gas Flow to the Metering Jet. Soak the Carburator Overnight in Cleaning Solution and Blow All the Ports and Passages Out with Compressed Air. Replace the Parts with Replacement Parts Provided in the Rebuild Kit. If you are going to Attempt this Repair, Send me the Make, Model, Type and Code Numbers Off of the Engine and I May be Able to Locate a Breakdown of the Carburator to Assist you in the Rebuild. Hope this Helps. Let me know what Happens, Please. Thanks.

 Good Luck
