Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Murray Lawn Mower ignition rewiring, briggs and stratton, hp motor

Question
I apologize for taking so long to get back to you, i have been out of town.  The information that you asked for is as follows:

bad motor still using this ignition:
model:  28v707
type:  1113-E1
code:  001116ZD
Briggs and Stratton 12.5 HP Murray 40" deck

Good Motor going on newer mower
model:  261777
type:  0130-01
code:  90071833
Briggs and Stratton Vanguard 14HP OHV Murray 40" deck

Again, the newer mower had a seized engine with a "two wire" ignition.  The Big motor was on an old mower and the motor has one wire hanging.

old motor:  black wire with round adapter
new ignition:  red and white wires with square adapter.

I appreciate any assistance you can give me on this matter.  Thanks in advance.

Question -
John,

I have one Murray Lawn Mower that had a 12.5 HP motor on it (model 40508X92)  The other is an older model, (not sure) this has a 14 HP OHC industrial motor on it.
The old body is wore out and the new mower has a blown engine.  I am trying to put the 14HP on the new one.
I am completely finished except for wiring the ignition.  The new mower iginition has a two-wire harness (one red and one white)coming from it and the old one had just one (black).  I now have two wires trying to hook to the one.
The new one has a square connector and the old one had a round connector.
Please Help

 Hello Larry:

No Worries. Send me the Model, Type and Code Numbers Off of Both Engines and I can Better Assist you. Color Coded Wires Change from Model to Model. With the Numbers I can View a Breakdown of Each Engine and Better Assist you. Thanks.

 John

Answer
 Hello Larry:

I have Viewed the Breakdown of Both Engines. The Single Round Lead is for a 9amp Stator and the Dual Lead Square Plug is for a 16amp Stator. Easiest way to Make this Work is to Remove the Flywheels and Switch the Stators. The 16amp is a Better Stator Anyway. Go to http://www.outdoordistributors.com/ and Select the B. Then Select the Briggs and Stratton. Then Select Dont have the Part Number. From the Page that Comes Up you can View Both Engine Breakdowns. Hope this Helps. Let me know what Happens, Please. Thanks.

 Good Luck

 Respectfully

 John
