Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Gas push mower wont start, spark plug cable, starter fluid

Question
I haven't had to mow in a month, lucky me. Anyway primed to cold engine with 3 pumps like I usually do. Pulled the cord 5 times and no go, not even a hint as if it wanted to turn over.

Pull off the spark plug cable and wiped the spark plug off and reattatched. Same thing pulled the cord 5 times and no go.

Any thoughts? Do I need to replace the spark plug? Its been a couple years.

Anything else I can try to get it to turn over?

Thanks

Answer
 Hello Ryan:

Replace the Plug. Also with the New Plug, Before you Install it, Check for Fire at the Plug. Will the Engine try to Start using Starter Fluid? If yes, the Carburator need Cleaning and Rebuilt. Hope this Helps. Let me know what Happens, Please. Thanks.

 Good Luck
