engine running/blade running, when I increase the throttle engine begins to surge up/down finally cutting off

 Hello John:

 Check the Gas Tank Cap and Ensure it is Venting Properly. It sounds like the Carburator needs to be Cleaned and Rebuilt. Does this Carburator have Adjustment Screws for the Air/Fuel Mixture? Send me the Make, Model, Type and Code Numbers Off the Engine, Please. Thanks.
