Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Craftsman Lawnmower Drive slipping, spring tension, return spring

Question
I am having a problem with my Craftsman Riding Lawn Tractor,
manual transmission.

The problem is that the drive belt appears to be slipping. This
causes me to get stuck going up any kind of incline. For some
reason this is a problem that gets worse as I mow. For example,
when I first start mowing, I will be able to go up and down
inclines ok, but as I continue to mow, I will lose traction on
inclines and the belt appears to be slipping. If I reverse the
engine it seems that it will improve somewhat.

I recently replaced the drive belt thinking it was just worn out,
but this problem is continuing, though not as bad as it was
before replacing the belt.

Is there some kind of adjustment I need to make to tighten the
tension on the belt?

Thankyou

 Hello Ernie:

I saw you Post in the Comments Section and the Buttons Didnt work Because I had Answered All the Questions Allowed for the Day. However, I Checked you Diagram and I Have a Question for you. Did You Check the Clutch Return Spring Tension? If the Spring isnt Keeping the Belt Tight as the Belt Expands from Heat then you will have this Problem. Thanks.
