Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Craftsman mower with B&S 4.75 wont run, craftsman 917, holly bush

Question
Hi.  My two year old Craftsman 917.387760 mower has been a champ until I mowed under my low hanging holly bush.  Now it barely stays running.  I pulled off the air cleaner and noticed what I think is a throttle cable (there is no throttle to adjust on this mower--it just runs at a pretty high rpm), and I can move the v-shaped plastic piece at the end of this cable to rev the engine.  I think I probably knocked off a spring or some other piece which moderates this throttle, but it's unclear to me what.  Can you help?  Thanks.  John

Answer
 Hello John:

It Sounds like the Throttle Control Spring from the Governor has Jumped Off. Send me the Make, Model, Type and Code Numbers Off of the Engine,Please. I can Locate a Diagram that will Assist you in Putting the Spring Back on. I have found that a Diagram for the Questioners to Look at Makes Our Communication Better. Thanks.

 Respectfully

 John
