Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Mower stops running, craftsman lt2000, kohler command

I have a Craftsman LT2000 with a Kohler Command 17 HP engine. IT is 3 years old. After two trips around the yard it stopped running. It feels like it is not getting any gas. The tank is full, I changed the fuel filter and spark plug. I checked the air filter and it is ok. Now the mower will not start at all. It will start and run momentarily if I pour some gas into the carburetor. Any suggestions?

 Clean and Rebuild the Carburator. Gas over Time Forms a Varnish Inside the Carburator and Restricts the Flow of Gas through the Jets. The Systoms you Described is Common with a Clogged Jet in the Carburator. Hope this Helps. Let me know what Happens, Please.
