Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): mexture settings on a honda g100 mower engine, honda g100, mixture settings

Question
I have a honda cylinder mower that has started to only start and run on choke...so I guess its the mixture settings? do you know how many turns out the mixture screw should be set as a base starting point? would 1 3/8 turns out sound about right?
it was running very lumpy prior to getting like this?
cheers

Answer
 Hello Dragontest:

Most Times 1 1/2 to 1 3/4 Turns out is Close. By Running very Lumpy, Im Guessing that you mean Uneven (up and down). If this is the Case, then Clean and Rebuild the Carburator. The Settings are at 2 Turns Out from Seat to get the Engine Running. Then Fine Tune Adjudtments for Smooth Running. For the High Setting, Hold Throttle Full Open and Adjust High Speed Mixture Screw Until the Engine is Reving Properly. If there is Hesitation when Going from Idle to Full Throttle, then Adjust the Low Speed Mixture Screw. Hope this Helps. Let me know what Happens, Please.

 Good Luck
