Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Blower will not stay running once started, mtdc, carburators

Question
I've replaced the carb. on this ryobi 280r and it will not stay running or even idle it just seems to run out gas. It is also hard starting. My neighbor told me to try and fix it. There is no book for this and he's does not have one. I don't know where the fuel lines hook up and it seems to run out either way. If I reverse the lines then the bulb will not fill up and prime the engine. I need some advice. It has over 90lbs of compression.

            Thanks Jim Ashby

Answer
 Hello Jim:

Go to http://mtd.arinet.com/scripts/EmpartISAPI.dll?MF&app=MTDC&lang=EN&TF=Mainframe&l... and you can see the Diagram for your Ryobi. Just Enter the Brand Nane and then the Whole Model Number. Even New Carburators can Give a Problem even when they Come right Off the Shelf. It Sounds like the Carburator Needle is Stuck and Preventing the Fuel from Entering the Carburator Jet. Hope this Helps. Let me know what Happens, Please.

 Good Luck

 Respectfully

 John
