Question -
I can barely type, because of the blisters i've gotten trying to start my Troy bilt weedeater. I ran it out of fuel a few days again, refilled tank, and no go. Thought my gas might be old, new gas did not help. have verified both fuel lines are NOT clogged (taken off & inspected), nor does fuel filter in tank appear clogged. Have replaced spark plug, but not sure how to do the trick about checking to see if i'm getting fire. Engine doesn't even want to begin to start, like no fire. Have not touched carb or adjusting screws, that generally gets me in trouble. Any thoughts or suggestions appreciated. thansk.

Answer -
 Hello Randy:

Pull the Plug. Wrap a Wire Aroung the Threaded Area of the Plug. Attach the Other End of the Wire to the Engine Block. Reattach the Coil Lead to the Plug and Check for Fire. If you have Fire, then The Carburator Picked up some Trash/Water and Needs to be Cleaned and Overhauled. Send the Model Numbers if you Require more Assistance, Please. Hope this Helps. Let me know what Happens, Please.

 Good Luck

Answer
 Hello Randy:

Yes you have Spark. Clean and Overhaul the Carburator and be Sure to Blow all Ports and Passages Out with Compressed Air. You got Trash/Water into the Carburator. Hope this Helps. Let me know what Happens, Please.

 Good Luck
