Question
Professor Kirkland,
Can you send a drawing of what you are talking about? Where is the clutch? I do not have a owners manual nor a repair manual for this model.

TORO 8-32 Riding Mower Model# 56145.

Answer -
Hi Gebarlow
Yep just about when the clutch is worn out (friction pads) it seems to get weaker and weaker.  If the clutch comes off the shaft easily its not a bad job- but if it's stuck, its a bear.

Answer
Hi Gebarlow-
sorry for the delay - vacation

There is an assembly directly under the motor, it has two belts running off it.  One belt goes to the transaxle and drives the mower.  The other belt runs off an electric clutch/pulley assembly on this same shaft.  This is your PTO clutch.  Honestly- you should probably take this to a shop.  Its generally a bear to remove (usually requires a puller).
