Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Service/Owners Manual, craftsman lawn mower, first hope

I bought a 19 hp turbo cool 42" craftsman lawn mower at an auction, and I am looking to find a copy for the service/owners manual.  My issue is that I have to pull back on the brake to get the motor to enage.  My guess is that I need a new belt but not sure.  With the manual I could see if I am missing a spring or something.

 Hello Ross:

 You can go to http://www3.sears.com/ and in the Lower Right of the Screen Click Lawn Equipment. On the Next Screen, Enter your Mowers Model #. Click Go. Verify the Infomation is Correct and Click Continue. On the Next Screen, Pick the Diagram you want to View. It sounds like the Clutch Spring has Broken or the Idler Arm is Rusty and Requires Cleaning. I would Check that First. Hope this Helps. Let me know what Happens, Please.
