Question -
How do you remove the oil pan from the shaft for piston removal? I want to install a new set of rings.

Answer -
 Hello Bill:

Remove the Engine from the Frame. Remove the Blade Adapter/Pulley. Sand the Crankshaft to Remove ANY RUST that has Formed on the Crankshaft. If the Crankshaft Isnt Clean of Rust it Will Not Slide Through the Oil Pan. Remove the Oil Pan Bolts. Tap the Oil Pan with a Rubber Hammer to Seperate the Oilp Pan from the Block and to get it Off the Alignment Dowel Pins. Slide the Oil Pan Off the Crankshaft. Hope this Helps. Let me know what Happens, Please.

 Good Luck

Answer
 Hello Bill:

A Puller and a Torch are Required to Remove the Blade Adapter Most Times. If you have some PB Blaster Rust Catalyst that will Help Sometimes. Hope this Helps. Let me know what Happens, Please.
