Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): pulley, gt2000, oil level

Question
I was mowing and it stopped.  When  trying to pull cord to start
again- the cord is stuck.  It wont pull out.
Please help!

Hey Erin

First- check the oil level.

If the oil is ok- the starter housing must be removed, then you have to see if the engine can be turned by hand with the plug removed.

If you aren't  mechanically inclined - I'll need more info to better help.

Engine make (briggs or tecumseh)
model (numbers on cowling- I need em all)
Mower make/model if you know it, like Sears GT2000 or whatever
