Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Troy Bilt 20 HP Tractor wont keep running, air fuel mixture, air screw

Question
It's a Kohler Magnum 20 engine. There seems to be 2 adjustment screws on the carb....each with a spring behind it.

Hello......I'm having difficulty keeping my tractor running. It starts on full choke, but when I back off on the choke, it stalls. If I leave it on full choke, it sputters and stalls. I cleaned out the gas tank and cleared obstructions in the gas line up to the gas filter (new last year). Is there some kind of adjustment I can make to keep this running so I can mow my lawn? Thank you.

Answer -
 Hello George:

If you Send me the Make and Model Number of the Engine I can be of Better Assistance. Some carbs have Adjustments and Others Dont. If no Adjustment Screw  are on your Carb, then it Requires Cleaning and Overhauling. Hope this Helps.

 Good Luck

Answer
 Hello George:

The Screw on the Side of the Carburator is for Idle Air/Fuel Mixture and the One in the Bottom of the Bowl is for the High Air/Fuel Mixture. Turn the Bowl Screw Counter Clockwise 1/4 Turn. Does this Help? If no, then Turn the Idle Air Screw 1/4 Turn Counter Clockwise. Does this Help? If no, then Remove the Carburator and Clean and Overhaul it. Hope this Helps. Let me know what Happens, Please.

 Good Luck

 Respectfully
