Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): riding mower wont start, murray riding mower, hp engine

Question
I have a Murray riding mower w/ a B&S 11 hp engine that's been running fine until today.  I try to start it and it cranks, but won't turn over.  Any suggestions on repairs that this willing, and somewhat handy single mom can take on herself before calling someone out?

Answer
Hi Suzanne
Go in order of below & see if any work

First - change the spark plug

Second - theres a little bowl under the carburator, and a single large nut holds it on(old mower) or a solenoid(new mower)
* to remove the newer bowl, remove the wire from the solenoid, and unscrew the solenoid by turning it with a thin wrench at the point where it goes up into the bottom of the bowl.  The bowl will come straight down- look for debris or water in the gas, and make sure gas flows into the bowl area continously from the tank.  Replace the bowl and try it again.
Lemme know how this goes and we'll take it from there ok?
