Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): How to disable the speed governor, main bearing, speed governor
Questionhow do I disable the speed governor on a 18.5hp murray riding mower?
AnswerHi Brett
Why on earth do you want to do that? Theres a solid link from the governor arm to the throttle plate shaft on the carburator, just disconnect that and off you go-
Course you may toss a rod- spin a main bearing, certainly wear it out prematurely- but I'm assuming you have some reason for doing this- heh good luck
