Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Honda G65 engine, cam lobes, valve lifters

Question
I have a Honda G65 engine. I removed the crank to replace the rings on the engine. I thought the crank had markings on it to align with the camshaft gear. I can not find any, How  or what can I do to align them correctly for timing.
Thanks in advance.

Answer
 Hello Leo:

The Crankshaft Should have a Long Scribe Mark on one of the Teeth. If it Doesnt and the Crank wasnt marked Before the Cam and Crank was Seperated; then the Cam is Set with the Cam Lobes Away from the Valve Lifters while the Crank Is set to TDC. Other than that; I cant be of more help.

 Good Luck
