Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): murray mower blades always run, murray mower, quils

Question
just replaced the deck belt on my murray riding mowerand now the blade is always running even when not engaged. when i raise the deck to its highest setting the blades turn faster and when i lower the deck they slow down. thanks for your help and being here.

 Hello Edlon:

 Check the Belt Routing and Make Sure you Havent Missed a Belt Retainer. The Belt Retainer is a Bolt or Bracket the Keeps the Belt from Jumping Off a Sheeve or Pulley when there is no Tension on the Belt. The Slow Down when you Lower the Deck and Speeds Up when Deck is Up, Tells me that the Problem Could be in the Belt Routing. If not Check the Blade Quils and Ensure they are Turning Free.
