Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Husqvarna sit on problem, drive pulley, transaxle

Question
Hi there,
I've got a Husqvarna yth150xp sit on mower which won't move!
After checking the belts etc (fine) I can only think the brake/
clutch is not engaging..the engine runs fine as do the blades,
but it won't engage to move the wheels. I'm kind of out in the
woods where I live, so have no-one nearby to repair it! can you
help with a few pointers on how to diagnose/repair it?
Thanks for your help!
Best wishes
James

Answer
 Hello James:

Does this Have a Hydrostat Drive Transaxle or Mechanical Transaxle? If Hydrostat Drive, it has to go to the Shop. If Mechanical Transaxle, then do the Following: 1- Remove the Transaxle Drive Belt. 2- Jack up and Block up the Rear of the Mower so the Wheels can be Turned. 3- Put the Mower in Gear. 4- Turn One Wheel by Hand. Does the Opposite Wheel Turn? If yes, then Block One Wheel and turn the other one again. Does the Drive Pulley Turn? If no then the Transaxle has an Internal Problem. If yes, then the problem will be with the Belt and Linkage. Hope this Helps.

 Good Luck

 Respectfully
