Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): carberator on cub cadet 1250 hydrostatic- kohler engine, carberator, best bet

Question
Gas drips from the carberator with the engine off. The carberator is the float type. What would cause this to happen and what can I do to correct the problem? Thanks.

Answer
 Hello Wes:

The Fuel is Leaking by the Needle and Seat in the Bowl. Your Best bet is to Install a Cutoff in the Fuel Line and Use it Whenever you Finish using the Mower. I have had to install cutoffs on all Bowl Type Carb Engines for the Past 3 Years. Im Not Sure if its the Parts or the Craftsmanship; but within 90 day after Rebuilding Carbs and Putting on New Carbs. I Still have to Put the Cutoffs in the Fuel Line. Hope this Helps.

 Good Luck

 Respectfully

 John
