Question -
I HAVE A JOHN DEERE RX63. IM CONVERTING IT TO AN ELECTRIC START. I NEED SPECIFIC WIRING DIA. TO WIRE IT UP.I HAVE A PUSH BUTTON SWITCH THAT I WANT TO USE.IF POSSIBLE CAN I BYPASS THE SOLENOID? IS THERE A MORE SIMPLER WAY TO DO THIS?

Answer -
 Hello Ross:

You Cannot Bypass the Soleniod. The wiring of the Push Button is Simple. One wire (Hot) from the Ignition Switch to one side of the Starter Button. Remember to use a 30 Amp Fuse in this Line. The Other Side of the Button goes to the Starter Soleniod. Thats it. The Electric Starter Button is Wired. Hope this Helps.

Answer
 Hello Ross:

Does your Soleniod have 2 small connections on the Bottom?  If so you may have the Starter Wire on the wrong Small Post. The Charging Wire should be on One Small Post and the Starter Wire from the Button on the other Small Post. One Post is Hot Only when Starter Button is Depressed. The Other is Hot all the Time to Allow for the Charger to Charge the Battery. Can you start the engine by Jumping Straight to the Starter? Dont Worry about the Charging Wire for now. The Charging Wire Can be Hooked to the Ignition Switch, on a post that is hot when Switch is On. Hope this Helps.
