Question -
I have a craftsman lawn tractor i found a 15 amp fuse that keeps popping each time i replace it. the fuse wires go to the ampmeter and to the positive cable from the battery. I have taking the wiring off and inspected it it seems fine. is it the ampmeter or the ingition switch that is malfunctioning. It is driving me crazy. I have removed the gas tank and checked to see if any of the wires are bare or tuching and found none.

 Hello Joe:

Depending on your Charging System, it could be the Internal Regulator for the Charging System is not working. Check the Voltage Output and The Amperage Output of the Charging System. If this is Good, then Check the Ampmeter and then the Ignition Switch. Hope this Helps.

Answer
 Hello Joe:

This Fuse is Blowing as soon as you put it in the Holder? When the Ignition Switch is turned off, there is Power going only to the Soleniod and the Igintion Switch. Unhook the Soleniod and see if the Fuse blows. Do the same with the Ignition Switch. Hope this Helps.
